Socket.IO server

SocketIO exposes of for namespaces, to/in for rooms, emit/send/write for sending and attach/bind for transport. Socket.IO has its own handshake and protocol above the transport: a plain WebSocket client is not automatically compatible.

Pin the JS client together with server Engine.IO/Socket.IO versions. Authenticate connections and authorize namespace/room access; CORS/origins does not replace authorization. Validate heartbeat, reconnect, polling upgrades and the inter-process adapter before running multiple workers.
