Traefik + KnotRoute
A single application can remain publicly available through Traefik while also being reachable through a KnotRoute sidecar.
Internet → Traefik → app:8080 ← KnotRoute sidecar ← .knot clientsAttach the application to both networks and the sidecar only to the private KnotRoute-facing network.
Check application settings that generate canonical redirects, cookie domains, OAuth callbacks, CSP origins or WebSocket URLs; these can unintentionally redirect .knot users to the public hostname.
Public TLS remains a Traefik/WebPKI concern. .knot browser TLS uses the client’s local CA plus KnotRoute’s independent service authentication.
